Norbert Twórczyński – the new Head of the Orchestra

We are pleased to announce that Norbert Twórczyński has assumed the position of the orchestra manager in the Polish Sinfonia Iuventus Orchestra. Jerzy Semkow.

Conductor and a Doctor of Musical Arts. Twórczyński served as an assistant conductor in two major musical institutions in Szczecin: The Castle Opera (2012-2016) and M. Karłowicz Philharmonic (2017-2021). Being a graduate of the Academy of Music in Poznań (symphonic and opera conducting) and the Academy of Art in Szczecin (music education – specialisation: choral conducting), he obtained both degrees with honours.

Since then, he has conducted numerous orchestras, including the Szczecin Philharmonic, the Castle Opera orchestra, NFM Wrocław Philharmonic, Poznań Philharmonic, Gorzów Philharmonic, Zielona Góra Philharmonic, Lviv Virtuoso Chamber Orchestra and Kaunas City Symphony Orchestra. Twórczyński led the premieres of compositions by Piotr Klimek, Artur Cieślak, Mateusz Ryczek and Krystian Skubała.

He has also made several recordings for the Szczecin Philharmonic. This outstanding conductor has collaborated with Acte Préalable publishing house (Niepodległa [Independent] oratorio by Artur Cieślak, 2021), and several eminent artists, such as Jakub Jakowicz, Leszek Możdżer, Stacey Kent, Janusz Wawrowski, Paweł Steczek and Roland Szentpáli.

Norbert Twórczyński successfully combines his artistic and teaching activity as an assistant professor employed at the Academy of Art in Szczecin.

Since September 2022, he has held the position of Head of Orchestra and Orchestra Support Department at Jerzy Semkow Polish Sinfonia Iuventus Orchestra.
