Workshops
Preparations for the 2016/2017 artistic season have already begun!
September is very busy for our orchestra members who spend this month perfecting their technique under the watchful eye of excellent teachers.
Our oboists work under the supervision of Prof. Tomasz Miczka of the Karol Szymanowski Academy of Music in Katowice. Workshops for the violin section were prepared by Piotr Tarcholik, the concertmaster of the Polish National Radio Symphony Orchestra in Katowice (NOSPR). Workshops for the viola section was run by Katarzyna Budnik-Gałązka, the viola section leader of Sinfonia Varsovia Orchestra. The double basses rehearsed under the supervision of Dariusz Wiśniewski, the double bass section leader of the Orchestre Philharmonique du Luxembourg. The workshops for our clarinetists and flutists were run by Prof. Wolfgang Meyer, a clarinetist of the Hochschule für Musik in Karlsruhe (Germany), and Andrzej Krzyżanowski, the first chair flute of the Sinfonia Varsovia Orchestra.
