The premiere of the album “Andrzej Dąbrowski & All Stars”

On March, 13th 2022, there was a premiere of the album Andrzej Dąbrowski & All Stars, which also included the song Bądź wierny sobie, where the singer was accompanied by the Jerzy Semkow Polish Sinfonia Iuventus Orchestra and the excellent Piotr Baron Quintet consisting of: Piotr Baron – tenor saxophone, Robert Majewski – trumpet, Łukasz Żyta – drums, Maciej Adamczak – double bass, Michał Tokaj – piano, under the baton of Marek Wroniszewski.

Andrzej Dąbrowski made his debut in 1958 as a percussionist in Kurylewicz’s Trio and for 55 years played with the most eminent musicians, including: Krzysztof Komeda, Zbigniew Namysłowski, Roman “Guc” Dyląg, Jerzy Milian, Michał Urbaniak, Wojciech Karolak, Janusz Muniak. He has accompanied on stage such jazz stars as: Stan Getz, Art Farmer, Don Ellis, “Lucky” Thompson, Jon Hendricks, Johnny Griffin, Bud Powell, and Bernt Rosengren.
Bądź wierny sobie is a new version of the famous song My Way (English version of the French original Comme d’habitude by Claude François and Jacques Revaux, translation-paraphrase by Paul Anka), whose most famous performer was Frank Sinatra. The song was recorded in the summer of 2021 in studios S2 and S4/6 of the Polish Radio in Warsaw. The publisher of the album is For Tune Sp. z o.o.
