In October, Sinfonia Iuventus will accompany the finalists of the XIII. “Arthur Rubinstein In Memoriam” International Competition for Young Pianists in Bydgoszcz during two final concerts. Our Orchestra had the pleasure to take part in the final concert of the 12th and 8th edition of the competition in 2021 and 2009.

The International Competition for Young Pianists is one of the world’s most important music competitions for young piano players.  It owes its prestige not only to the fame of Arthur Rubinstein, but also to the pianists whose artistic careers started here. The chairperson of honour is the pianist’s daughter, Ewa Rubinstein. The most exquisite talents took part in the competition in the past. They included pianists who later recorded for prominent labels and were ranked high in the Chopin Competition and other prestigious contests, such as Rafał Blechacz or Juliana Avdeeva. The 10th edition, in 2014, was won by 19-year-old Szymon Nehring.
