What an evening it was!
A standing ovation followed the Music of the Silver Screen concert at the Central Music Square Festival
On Sunday, June 21, the Jerzy Semkow Polish Sinfonia Iuventus Orchestra took to the stage of the Central Music Square Festival with its Music of the Silver Screen concert, presenting a programme dedicated to some of the greatest masterpieces of film music. The repertoire featured compositions by Wojciech Kilar, Andrzej Korzyński, and John Williams, as well as works by Gioachino Rossini and Paul Dukas, highlighting the close relationship between film music and the symphonic tradition.
The event attracted tremendous interest from audiences – all tickets were sold out, and every seat in the venue was filled. Beautiful weather and a warm summer evening created the perfect setting for sharing unforgettable musical experiences under the open sky.
The concert concluded with a standing ovation, the most rewarding expression of appreciation for the performers and a testament to the enduring power of film music to move and inspire audiences.
