Sinfonia Iuventus, Yehuda Prokopowicz and the Music of Mozart, Brahms and Chopin

For the first time this season, the concert hall of the State Music Schools Complex No. 1 in Warsaw will welcome Sinfonia Iuventus. The orchestra will be conducted by Wojciech Rodek, with Yehuda Prokopowicz – one of the most promising young pianists of his generation.

The programme will feature works by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Johannes Brahms and Fryderyk Chopin. The audience will hear, among other works, Mozart’s dramatic Piano Concerto in C minor, K. 491, and Brahms’s lyrical yet richly contrasted Symphony No. 2 in D major, Op. 73.

A special place in the programme will be given to Chopin’s Mazurkas, for which Yehuda Prokopowicz received the Polish Radio Award during the 19th Chopin Competition. He was also awarded the Zbigniew Drzewiecki Prize, presented to the highest-ranked Polish participant who did not advance to the final eleven.

Born in 2005, Prokopowicz is a laureate of more than 30 national and international competitions. He studied, among others, with Professor Stefan Wojtas and currently studies at the Krzysztof Penderecki Academy of Music in Kraków in the class of Dr Krzysztof Książek. He has performed in prestigious concert halls in Poland and across Europe, and in 2026 received the Readers’ Passport of Polityka.

The concert will bring together three great musical traditions – the Classicism of Mozart, the Romanticism of Brahms and Chopin’s deeply personal musical language – interpreted by a young artist whose talent has already attracted the attention of audiences and critics alike.
