On 17 September 2023, we invite all listeners to the Chorzow Cultural Center for a symphonic concert featuring great masterpieces of classical music. The concert will begin with Johann Sebastian Bach's famous Toccata and Fugue in D minor. Instead of the organ instrumentation, it will be played in a symphonic setting composed by Adam Wesołowski. We will also hear the picturesque composition Archangels by his authorship, which received great reviews after the Warsaw premiere. The composition was inspired by the desire to capture human communication with the titular Archangels. It is illustrated in three parts, and describes the way humans communicate with them: through meditation (Part I), prayer (Part II) and ritual (Part III). The concert will be completed by the most famous symphony in the history of music with the well-known fate motif - Ludwig van Beethoven's Symphony No. 5.
The concert will be conducted by Marek Wroniszewski, one of the most highly regarded conductors of his generation, boasting many concert and recording achievements, and the soloists of the concert will be outstanding instrumentalists Łukasz DŁugosz and Piotr Baron.
