Opening Concert of the 15th Michał Spisak International Festival
On 1 October 2025, the Jerzy Semkow Polish Sinfonia Iuventus Orchestra performed at the Palace of Culture in Dąbrowa Górnicza, inaugurating the 15th Michał Spisak International Festival.
Under the baton of Joanna Natalia Ślusarczyk, the orchestra presented a programme featuring works by Michał Spisak, Karol Szymanowski and Antonín Dvořák. The soloist of the evening was the Japanese violinist Seina Matsuoka, laureate of international music competitions, admired for her exceptional interpretative sensitivity and virtuosity.
The concert opened the jubilee edition of the festival organised by the Palace of Culture in Dąbrowa Górnicza, the City of Dąbrowa Górnicza, the Karol Szymanowski Academy of Music in Katowice and the School of Music in Sosnowiec. The event’s partner is the Upper Silesian-Zagłębie Metropolis.
The Michał Spisak International Festival will run until 10 October 2025.
