Inaugural Concert of the 4th Jerzy Semkow Music Festival in Radomsko
Opening the Festival – A Musical Tribute to Jerzy Semkow
The participation of the Sinfonia Iuventus Orchestra in the Jerzy Semkow Music Festival in Radomsko is of particular significance to us. For another year, we are honoured to be part of this unique event, dedicated to the memory of our patron – the distinguished conductor, pedagogue and one of Poland’s most prominent musicians of the 20th century, Jerzy Semkow.
This year’s edition of the festival holds an additional special significance for us, as the Polish Sinfonia Iuventus Orchestra celebrates its 20th anniversary. These two decades have been marked by making music together, nurturing successive generations of young artists, and cherishing the values that were close to our patron’s heart.
The 4th Jerzy Semkow Music Festival will open on 5 September 2026 at 6:00 p.m. at the Municipal Cultural Centre in Radomsko. The orchestra will perform under the baton of Wojciech Rodek, joined on stage by distinguished soloists: Dorota Wójcik, soprano; Przemysław Wojciechowski, accordion; and Jagoda Gumienna, violin.
The programme will feature works by Ludwig van Beethoven, Antonín Dvořák, Stanisław Moniuszko, Henryk Wieniawski, Georges Bizet and Giuseppe Verdi. It will be an evening of diverse musical colours, ranging from grand symphonic and operatic works to virtuosic solo performances.
