Elzbieta Penderecka's contributions to musical culture in Poland and abroad cannot be overestimated. A tireless organiser, impresario and manager, since 1997 she has been organising and directing the Ludwig van Beethoven Easter Festival (in which our Orchestra has performed many times) and this is only a small part of her activities. We wish her a happy birthday, good health and a fruitful continuation of her wonderful and valuable musical endeavours.
