CONDOLENCES
The whole world of music is saying goodbye to Michail Jurovsky, the outstanding conductor, who was born in Moscow in the family with the Jewish roots. From the beginning of the nineties he was living in Germany and at that time he enjoyed his significant respect as the prominent conductor, cooperating with WDR Sinfonieorchester Köln, Rundfunk-Sinfonieorchester Berlin as well as with a lot of opera theatres. Michail Jurovsky was very active on the international scene, he was often performing in the Scandinavian countries; he was also very well recognized by the Polish audience. He was the guest conductor of our Orchestra and the member of its Artistic Council. Within the framework of the close cooperation with the Artistic Council he prepared several unforgettable concerts but our all-important common event was performing and recording (2017) of the great, forsaken biblical opera „Moses” by Anton Rubinstein. Opera „Moses” rejoiced the big admiration of the Polish audience and critics.
The entire community of the Jerzy Semkow Polish Sinfonia Iuventus Orchestra extends its condolences to the Family and friends of the late Artist
