We are happy to announce that Anna Sułkowska-Migoń, a conductor collaborating with Sinfonia Iuventus during the 2021/2022 season as part of the “Dyrygent-Rezydent” programme of the National Institute of Music and Dance, was awarded the prestigious Taki Alsop Conducting Fellowship! Moreover, one of the six finalists and a prizewinner of this contest for women conductors was Anna Duczmal-Mróz, another representant of Poland with whom we also had the pleasure to collaborate.

The scholarship contest was initiated in 2002 by Marin Alsop, an outstanding American conductor, and has been held under her auspices ever since. Anna Duczmal-Mróz talked about the award on the second channel of Polskie Radio: “The world of music keeps changing thanks to extraordinary people, such as my mum or Marin Alsop. Not only are women talented, but they can also be mothers and active members of society. This programme shows how crucial it is for women to help each other and how much energy, vision and willingness to collaborate is within them”.
