28 May / 10 June 2016 – The Concert Studio of the Polish Radio

Close to Dvořák

“(…) The intellect of Beethoven and wild emotions of Nowowiejski and Dvořák. This could be a summary of two successful concerts by Sinfonia Iuventus held in the concert studio of the Polish Radio. (…) Piotr Sułkowski mustered up new energy from the orchestra, which is so important at performing such an expressive programme. Collaboration with an unfamiliar conductor provides musicians with additional motivation and gives them a chance to discover new possibilities. Sinfonia Iuventus is a well-oiled organism. They have already gained proficiency and confidence of performance that can be envied by experienced musicians. They shine with professionalism. They take their seats and unhurriedly tune instruments. But when the conductor raises the baton, they are no longer private – they enter a different world, the world of Beethoven, Dvořák, Nowowiejski or other composing masters. Their playing is very balanced, yet at times they are able to excel themselves and reach a different level, of which they are even unaware. (…)”
